Since people speak and write using sentences, it is only natural that they begin by composing sentences before they are able to speak and write English proficiently.
Introduction
Speaking English Effectively is a training designed specifically for busy individuals who would like to improve their proficiency in spoken English. It is a 2-day training which emphasizes the importance of grammar, vocabulary, sentence structures (simple and compound), punctuation and spoken English.
The content of this training is sufficient to help the trainee to speak effectively in any environment after the trainee has understood how grammar, vocabulary and sentence structures really work. In this way, the trainee will know how to improve himself or herself in the future.
Objectives
The training is intended to:
- improve the trainee’s understanding of how the English language really works.
- help the trainee use the English language in real-life situations and focus on communication clearly and confidently.
- increase the trainee’s knowledge of English sentence structures and their use in spoken and written English.
- strengthen the trainee’s Transmission Skills – speaking and writing.
Methodology
The trainees will be given many exercises to help them understand and communicate effectively in real-life situations. In short, the trainees must understand and use the English language to communicate their ideas and feelings to others.
In addition, trainees will be required to participate in role-play that encourages them to think on their feet about the suitable responses.
To reinforce the knowledge and information further, the trainer will give many short tests to the trainees during the 2-day training.
With the right instruction and supervision from the trainer, the trainees will develop the right abilities to communicate effectively through practice in many exercises and role-play.

The 8 Parts of Speech
In English Grammar, the 8 Parts of Speech are the foundation which helps a learner to speak and write English clearly and confidently.
NOUNS – definition, singular and plural, possession.
ADJECTIVES – definition, kinds of adjectives.
VERBS – definition, auxiliary and principal verbs, the simple sentence, subject and predicate (sentence pattern 1), subject-verb-object (sentence pattern 2), types of sentence.
PRONOUNS – definition, subjective pronouns, objective pronouns, possessive pronouns, relative pronouns.
ADVERBS – definition, adverbs of manner, adverbs of time, adverbs of place, position of adverbs.
